Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about security, data protection, and how Fusion Link works.

What happens if the platform gets hacked or data is lost?

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform — the same infrastructure used by Spotify, Duolingo, and millions of businesses worldwide. All data is automatically encrypted at rest and in transit, replicated across multiple data centers, and protected by role-based access controls. We also have Point-in-Time Recovery enabled, allowing us to restore data to any point within the last 7 days down to the minute. On top of that, daily and weekly scheduled backups provide additional protection for up to a year.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored on Google Cloud's servers with automatic replication across multiple data centers. No single server failure can cause data loss. Google Cloud holds SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance certifications.

Can other vendors see my data?

No. Every API request requires a verified authentication token, and our security rules enforce strict role-based access. Vendors can only access their own vendor's data. Drivers can only see their own profile and assigned jobs. This is enforced at the database level, not just the application level.

What backup and recovery systems are in place?

We have three layers of protection: (1) Point-in-Time Recovery — restores data to any minute within the last 7 days, (2) Daily backups — retained for 14 days, and (3) Weekly backups — retained for 1 year. If anything goes wrong, we can restore your data quickly.

How is my login secured?

We use Firebase Authentication with phone OTP verification. Every session is verified server-side, and authentication tokens are short-lived and automatically refreshed. There are no passwords to steal.

Who has access to the platform's admin controls?

Only verified platform superadmins can access administrative functions. Vendor admins can only manage their own vendor's settings, drivers, and jobs. All admin actions are logged in an audit trail.

Is my uploaded documents (IC, license, etc.) safe?

All uploaded documents are stored on Cloudflare R2 with isolated, per-user folders and strict access rules. Only you and authorized platform admins can access your documents. Files are encrypted at rest and in transit.

What happens if the app goes down?

Fusion Link runs on Google Cloud's globally distributed infrastructure with automatic failover. Even if one data center experiences issues, the service continues from another location. We also have a service worker that provides basic offline functionality.
